Where affiliate links appear
Affiliate links appear in two places: inside a guide, next to a section where the booking is genuinely useful, and in the book-ahead section on the home page. They are marked with a short disclosure in the same part of the page, and the link itself carries a sponsored attribute in the HTML.
Not every guide contains one. A link is added only where a specific product exists for the place being described, such as a timed-entry ticket or a transport pass.
Current partners
- Klook — attraction tickets, transport passes, and activities.
- Booking.com — accommodation, when a link is present. Accommodation links are being introduced gradually.
The site does not accept paid reviews, sponsored articles, or free stays in exchange for coverage at the time of writing.
What a commission does not change
A commission does not decide what is recommended. Guides are written from official tourism, transport, and facility sources first, and the places described are chosen before any booking link is considered. Where a place is free to enter, no ticket link is added, because there is nothing to book.
The site does not set prices. Prices, availability, age bands, and cancellation terms are set by the provider and can differ from the official counter price. Always check the booking page before paying.
Cost to you
Using an affiliate link costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the price shown on the provider’s page.
Law and good practice
This disclosure is provided so that readers can tell commercial links apart from editorial ones, in line with Japanese rules on misleading representations and with the expectations of readers in other countries.
