A practical English guide to Izumisano in Osaka: the station town, the coast near Kansai Airport and access from Osaka.

Operational details such as opening hours, admission fees, and train times can change. Prefer official pages and reconfirm before you travel (sources checked on 08 November 2026).

Why visit

  • Izumisano is a city on the Osaka bay coast, just inland from Kansai International Airport. Most travellers pass through it on the way to the airport, but the city itself is a working town with a station centre, temples and a shoreline of reclaimed land and fishing harbours.
  • The area around Izumisano station has hotels used by early and late flights, restaurants and a practical shopping street. A short ride inland or along the coast reaches older neighbourhoods and the Rinku area that faces the airport bridge.
  • Izumisano is useful as a last-night or first-night base, and as a quiet alternative to central Osaka when your schedule is tied to the airport.
